WHERE TO PLAY TWO-UP THIS ANZAC DAY
Come in spinner! ANZAC Day commemorations are back to full scale in 2022 and bigger than ever as two-up can legally be played each day of the ANZAC Day long weekend.
Solotel’s venues are proud to honour our service men and women and host two-up across the below venues. Venues will have two-up played all weekend however, Monday 25 April is by far the largest of the three days with a raft of events ranging from drag queen two-up and Aussie BBQ specials. Opera Bar is the only exception – two-up will only be played on Monday 25 April.
All venues will also help to raise funds for Legacy Australia which support the partners and children of those who gave their lives or their health in service for our country.
WHERE TO PLAY TWO-UP ON MONDAY 25 APRIL:
• The Golden Sheaf Hotel, Double Bay
An institution, The Sheaf hosts the eastern suburbs’ ultimate two-up arena complete with grandstand seating, pop-up tinnie bars throughout the huge beer garden, and lamb on the spit. All kicks off at midday. DJs spin throughout the day and well into the evening.

• The Bank, Newtown: Ten years of Tora Two-Up
For her 10th year, larger than life drag queen Tora Hymen will host frightfully fabulous two-up in the beer garden at the Bank from midday till sundown. From 6pm, DJs will hit the decks until late.

• Sackville Hotel, Rozelle
Two-up makes a triumphant return to the Sacky’s car park for the first time in three years. This enormous outdoor two-up set up is from midday and features grandstand seating and DJs playing throughout the day.

• Public House Petersham
PHP’s carpark will transform into a two-up ring from midday, complete with grandstand seating, tinnie bar and BBQ in the carpark. DJs will keep good vibes going into the afternoon and evening.

Harbourfront two-up from midday – only on Monday 25 April - plus live music to dance the night away.

On Monday, the adjoining Il Baretto dining room converts into a two-up ring from midday with tinnie bars and a special Anzac Day menu.

• Kings Cross Hotel
Get involved in the biggest game of two-up to ever hit the Cross, hosted by fabulous queens Tomi, Fairah, and Paris, from midday. DJs will be spinning tunes on the balcony from 3pm, and there will even be a special appearance from bagpipers from 1pm-2:30pm. For the early risers, doors will open from 9am and a special breakfast menu served.
