For existing staff members - refer a friend to work at Solotel and receive $500 if they get the job. Payment is taxable and will be made when the referral has worked for four weeks. All referrals should be emailed to HRTEAM@solotel.com.au

SALARY SACRIFICE


 

The Solotel Salary Sacrifice program is another great benefit available to Solotel employees. It's a great way to save on your portable electronic devices such as laptops, tablets or mobile phones, and even cars through a novated lease finance arrangement where Solotel pays for your car lease and car running costs out of your salary package through a combination of pre-tax and post-tax salary deductions.

If you’re thinking of purchasing an electronic device via our Salary Sacrifice program, keep the receipt once you’ve purchased it. Fill out a Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) declaration form and attach your receipt, upload it to Expensify, and be 100% reimbursed. The amount before GST will be deducted from your pay and you avoid paying 10% GST and save.

From 1 January 2024 the following terms and conditions apply:

 

  • Discount is available Sunday through to Thursday (not Friday and Saturday).
  • A ‘day’ is considered a trading day, e.g. If you are out at a venue on a Saturday night at 11.59pm, discounts do not kick in from midnight on Sunday morning.
  • To activate your 50% staff discount, you must complete 100% of your compulsory Allara Training.
  • Your 50% discount can only be accessed via the MySolotel employee app, via the 'Discounts & Offers' tile.
  • Discounts can be used in conjunction with Experience Cards.
  • Discount cannot be redeemed for bottle shop purchases, merchandise, cigarettes, gaming facilities, ticket purchases or food purchases at Il Baretto or Darlo Bar. 
  • Due to the external kitchen the Regent Hotel offers 30% only off all food.
  • Discount is limited to bookings of up to 4 guests. Meaning, as an employee you can enjoy an experience at participating venues for you and three guests and receive 50% off. This includes purchases over the bar. 
  • You can have a maximum of 4 guests (inclusive of yourself) if there is a Solotel employee present, 8 guests if there are 2 Solotel employees present. For more than 8 guests the maximum discount is based on the 8 guests only i.e., the 9th guest is required to pay the full amount.
  • Venues may restrict staff numbers for specific event days such as Mother’s Day, to ensure guests are given precedence and can attend. 
  • There should be no expectation from the guest that they are to receive the ‘best table’.
  • The 50% staff discount can be used on Fridays and Saturdays for staff meals whilst you are on shift. This is only available to the individual consuming the staff meal.
