Cherry Bomb Returns to GOROS – a Japanese inspired Cherry Blossom Festival Celebration in the heart of Sydney
This April and May, vibrant spot GOROS in Sydney is going all out for its Cherry Bomb event, returning from Wednesday to Saturday between 2 April and 10 May. The event will be bringing the magic of Japan’s iconic Sakura Cherry Blossom Festival to life right here in Sydney.
Guests can expect a six-week celebration that will see GOROS transformed into a pink wonderland, where guests can gather under cherry blossoms, sip on pink-inspired cocktails, and indulge in mouthwatering Japanese inspired bites. Cherry Bomb invites guests to step into an immersive Yozakura – the Japanese tradition of enjoying the fleeting beauty of cherry blossoms, complete with drinks, food, and high-energy entertainment.
From the moment guests walk in, there will be glowing lanterns, neon lights, and a vibrant atmosphere that’s perfect for a late night hang out and unforgettable photo moments. The pink-themed food and drink menu is set to include dishes such as: Watermelon Sashimi, Tempura Prawn Bao and Strawberry Fried Ice Cream. In addition, the above delights can all be washed down with limited edition cherry bomb themed cocktails including but not limited to: a Momo Kitty, made with Nikka Coffey Vodka, Peach Sake, Yuzu and green apple or a Ume Sour, with Nikka Days Whisky, Umeshu, Watermelon and lemon.
Elliot Solomon, CEO of Solotel says: "We're always looking to push the boundaries of what's possible when it comes to Goros and this year’s festival is no exception. The team have been working on the plans for quite some time and Goros Castle needs to be seen to be believed! It’s going to be a great few weeks and we’re excited for Sydneysiders to come in and experience something totally new and unexpected”.
Every week there will be free karaoke, DJs, and a dancefloor that keeps the party going all night long. Cherry Bomb will also be kicking off with a special Cherry Bomb-themed Goros Castle, inspired by the wacky and wonderful antics of Takeshi’s Castle. Goros Castle weeks happen in the first week of each month, with two running within the duration of the Cherry Bomb season. Prizes are up for grabs for those participating in Giant ramen-eating competitions, sumo suit battles, and every other game weirder and wackier than the last! Get ready for a night packed with eating competitions, game tournaments, and a tonne of surprise challenges.
