Dim Sum, Disco & Good Times: North Bondi Fish Turns It Up This Winter
 

Winter has officially arrived, and North Bondi Fish is inviting locals to lean in — not fly out. While Sydney often slows down (or heads to Europe) during the colder months, North Bondi Fish is giving us a reason to stay local with Disco Yum Cha — a new twist on weekend bottomless lunches running every Saturday and Sunday from 5 July to 3 August, 11am–3pm.


With fewer crowds, no traffic, and easier parking, Bondi becomes a different kind of destination — unbeatable views, great food, and a local following that knows the real magic of Bondi doesn’t disappear when summer ends. Rather than retreat for winter, the iconic restaurant is turning up the heat—embracing the season with Disco Yum Cha, set to make weekends louder, livelier, and a whole lot more fun!


Group Executive Chef Hamish Ingham (formerly of Redbird and Billy Kwong) and Head Chef David Coumont will be serving up flavour-packed Yum Cha-style set menus designed for sharing, celebrating fresh produce and North Bondi Fish signature seafood. Think Scallop wontons, Sichuan chilli oil dressing, Barramundi, ginger, shallot and the classic Prawn toast, sweet chilli.


For a Matcha moment, cocktail wise there’s a Mucha Macha with Bombay Sapphire, strawberry bitter, mint, matcha soda and a Marg Yum Cha, part margarita, part wild card—with Patrón Silver, mandarin and black sesame for a sip that surprises.


From midday, Disco DJs set the vibe — whether you’re settling in after a surf, rolling in with mates for a cheeky celebration, easing your way through a hangover or simply looking for a reason to get out of the house, Disco Yum Cha is the answer. It's guaranteed good times, flavour-forward, and distinctly Bondi — just with more dumplings and disco balls! But the party doesn’t stop on the weekend…


Roll the Dice Thursdays are here to spice up your midweek with a touch of luck. Starting Thursday 3 July, diners who’ve signed up to North Bondi Fish’s Roll of Fortune database and collected an official NBF keyring can take their shot at scoring their meal for free. Here’s how it works: dine in on any Thursday, show your keyring when the bill arrives, and roll the dice — if you land double six, your food is on the house, just the right kind of thrill to heat up a winter night. Walk-ins are welcome, bookings are optional, and the good times are non-negotiable.
