YOUNG HENRYS AND SOLOTEL JOIN FORCES TO RAISE MONEY FOR FARMERS FOR CLIMATE ACTION
Media release: Monday 1 May
Beer lovers, be ready for a deal to make May a little sweeter! Young Henrys, the beloved Newtown brewery and distillery, have teamed up with Solotel to raise funds for Farmers For Climate Action, in collaboration with climate change activists and powerhouse, Groundswell Giving, brewing up drinks specials during May at participating Solotel venues.
Bringing the party to pint-sized proportions with pints for schooner prices throughout the month of May, frothie enthusiasts can grab a Young Henrys Newtowner at 14 Solotel venues including Bank Hotel, Golden Sheaf, The Marly, Paddo Inn and more. In a combined effort to raise funds for Farmers For Climate Action, $1 from every Young Henrys Newtowner purchased will go towards the cause, with every pint making a difference. Boasting tonnes of locations scattered throughout Sydney, there's no shortage of places to clink glasses and do your part to help fund this great initiative this May.
“We can all be part of the solution to climate change, and Groundswell loves connecting passionate people with effective climate action for real world change. This collaboration between two of our favourite Aussie businesses is a game changer for community leadership on climate action. Farmers for Climate Action are one of our nations' most effective advocacy groups catalysing real climate solutions at local and federal levels, and seeing the food and beverage industry support Aussie farmers working on climate solutions is super inspiring – we are really chuffed to be backing this initiative.” - Arielle Gamble, Groundswell.
"We're delighted to be partnering with Young Henrys, and that Sydney beer drinkers will get the chance to support Aussie farmers calling for strong climate policy. Young Henrys has an excellent reputation for sustainability, and strong links with agriculture.During May, we're encouraging Sydneysiders to get behind this initiative and in the process support our movement of almost 8000 Aussie farmers right across Australia calling for action for climate change. The money raised will support us to ramp up our campaign for state and national action on climate, and ensure the farmers of Australia can continue to produce food and fibre into the future." - Fiona Davis, CEO, Farmers For Climate Action. Dedicated to serve and inspire the community through numerous initiatives such as The Algae Project, community-funded solar farms atop the brewery, and most recently receiving B Corp certification, Young Henrys has continued to dedicate resources to making the planet better for everyone. The Farmers For Climate Action and Groundswell Giving team up was therefore a no brainer.
Since launching in 2020, Groundswell Giving has grown into a significant community committed to funding and accelerating strategic funding in Australia, working to change the game on climate through fellowships for businesses, cultural leaders and more. Similarly with Farmers For Climate Action, as the only farmer-led organisation that specialises in climate action, they are ensuring Australia’s agricultural industry is aiming to reduce emissions by 15% and look to find better solutions for a greener future. Key players in shifting the dial on climate change, grab your mates and help join Farmers For Climate Action’s goal to reduce emissions, and keep the foreseeable future of a green planet (and delicious brews) alive.
“Solotel is thrilled to support this initiative alongside our mates at Young Henrys. We encourage all Sydney siders to visit our venues throughout May, grab a Newtowner, and help make a difference.” - Elliot Solomon, CEO, Solotel.
So, rally your friends, head to your favourite Solotel venue, and raise a glass (or a pint!) to a worthy cause with Young Henrys and Solotel this May. Because climate change is a brew-tal problem, visit Young Henrys' website to find out how you can get involved.
