BARANGAROO HOUSE OF MARTINIS TO LAUNCH THIS SEPTEMBER
Martini lovers are in for a treat this spring with the launch of Barangaroo House of Martinis – a month-long celebration of martinis across all three levels of the House, 1 – 30 September. There are $10 mini martinis available all day every day; a Friday after work martini ice luge; roving martini cart; martinis made tableside; custom menus of martinis for each level and more.
Barangaroo House has partnered with Grey Goose and Bombay Sapphire to curate a menu of classic and custom martini menus tailored to each level of the House. Mini Grey Goose or Bombay Sapphire martinis are available all day every day across each level of the House for just $10.
The expert cocktail bartenders at New York-style rooftop cocktail bar, Smoke, are pouring classic martinis tableside. Also on the martini menu is Smoke’s incredibly popular Pornstar Martini - vodka, vanilla, and passionfruit shaken and served with a sidecar of prosecco; and the signature Highland Goose (Grey Goose vodka, mango skin vermouth, salted Lagavulin), for those who like their martini dirty with a subtle tropical note.
Downstairs at Rekodo restaurant and vinyl bar on level 1, the Grey Goose martini cart is serving martinis tableside. These include the booze-driven with stone fruit flavours Japanese Breakfast Martini (Bombay Sapphire gin, orange liqueur, apricot) and It Takes Two to Mango (Grey Goose vodka, Aperol, mango, vanilla, yuzu) for a tropical and delicious shaken martini. Of course, classic martinis made how you like are also on offer.
At House Bar on ground floor, classic martinis and the floral Coral Martini (Grey Goose vodka, strawberry vermouth, house made rose cordial, raspberry) are poured through an incredible ice luge into a martini glass, ensuring they’re served ice cold every Friday from 4pm – 8pm. There are also Lychee, Pornstar, and Espresso martinis available at the bar every day.
“Sydney is obsessed with martinis in all its forms,” explains Reece Griffiths, group bars manager, Solotel. “Whether it’s a super booze-driven and dirty classic, the always popular espresso martini, or something a little fruity or floral and very approachable like our pink-hued Coral Martini. We’ve curated the menu so that each level of Barangaroo House is a different martini experience and encourage people to try them all, it is a house of martinis after all!”
