MENTOR PROGRAM

We're excited to be launching Solotel's Mentor Program this June. The new six-month program aims to boost your personal and professional development by giving you the opportunity to:​


UNITE with like-minded and ambitious people​
GROW your knowledge from respected people within our business​
ASPIRE to be the best you can be through learning from the best people at Solotel 
LEAD and discover your management skills and establish your own style of leadership under the guidance of experts at Solotel

 

The Mentor Program has been designed so that both mentee and mentor gain value from the program and foster strong relationships with each other and their peers.


Each successful mentee is paired with a mentor based on personality fit, experience, interests, and the alignment of your progression pathway.


The L & D Lead will facilitate the Mentor Program with the support of the mentors for the 6-month duration.​

BECOME A MENTOR

MENTOR WITH US

  • See the growth and development of their mentee​

 

  • Be able to grow and develop their own leadership skills and capabilities though working with their Mentee and reflecting throughout the program. 

OBLIGATIONS

  • Must be prepared to stay in contact with the mentee and the program facilitator for the duration of the program (6 months) and undertake each of the activities in the program toolkit​

 

  • Understand and discuss their expectations for the program, the purpose and how it will work in practice with their mentee​

 

  • Attend the Mentor information session (in person)​

 

  • Attend regular one-on-one or virtual meetings; venue, dates and time to be arranged by the mentee in consultation with the mentor. The monthly time commitment of the program will be a minimum of one hour.​

 

  • Submit to the program facilitator post-program feedback (template will be provided)​

CRITERIA

An eligible mentor must:​

 

  • Be employed by Solotel for more​ than 1 year​
     
  • Have venue experience and/or be a specialist in your area​
     
  • Complete the registration form within the required time-frame​

BECOME A MENTEE

GROW WITH US

  • Develop their leadership skills, self-awareness and emotional intelligence and ability to communicate their views and opinions to people in a professional manner.​
     
  • Identify and develop key skills for growth in their chosen field (role)​
     
  • Have a firm understanding on how their career can progress and evolve​
     
  • Reflect and self-evaluate their skills, capabilities and have an understanding of these developments.  

  • Achieved the initial objectives and goals as well as have met the program expectations.

ELEGIBILITY

To be eligible for the Mentor Program,​ a Mentee must:​
 

  • Be employed by Solotel for more than 6 months – Full time
     
  • Be curious and/or have an understanding of what career path they wish to undertake​
     
  • Have 100% completion of e-learning modules via Allara Global​
     
  • Complete the registration form within the required time-frame​
